Learning how to swim is a life skill that can offer many opportunities, from keeping fit and flexible throughout life to outdoor aquatic activities like Scuba Diving and Snorkelling.

Children’s Swimming Lessons
Lessons are suitable for 4-11 year olds and aim to teach the children to be confident, competent and safe in water. Each lesson is 30 minutes and follows the ASA Learn to Swim Framework (Stages 1-7).
Pre-school Children Aged 3-4 years can start lessons and follow the ASA Foundation Framework which works towards developing water confidence and introducing basic motor skills through fun games. The emphasis at this stage is about the child being happy in the water environment.

Adult Swimming Lessons
Swimming is technique based and very often people neglect to think about their actions when they start swimming and the resulting stroke can be ineffective exercise and potentially can cause neck/back issues through poor posture and body positioning in the water. Whether you have been swimming for fifty or five years, it is a good idea to review your technique as with time our stroke can pick up bad habits and change. Lessons can be tailored for beginners, improvers or stroke improvement sessions.
Swimming skills such as learning how to breathe in the water while swimming or how to perform the most suitable swimming stroke following surgery such as Hip or knee replacements can be covered in a lesson. The pool at Langdale Spa has a constant depth of 1.2m making it a suitable pool to learn to swim in and aquatic exercises can be performed with ease.
Adult Aquatic Exercise
Combining her knowledge as Personal Trainer, Aquafit Instructor and Swimming Instructor, Katie can use Aquatic Exercises to build an individual program for you to follow in the water.
